At Fake Portal (FakePortal.com), we are committed to ensuring that our website is accessible to all users, including those with disabilities. We strive to provide an inclusive experience for discovering and recommending video games, adhering to recognized web accessibility standards to make our content usable by everyone.
Our Commitment
We believe in equal access to information and functionality. Our goal is to meet or exceed the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA, which cover a wide range of recommendations for making web content more accessible to people with visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, language, learning, and neurological disabilities.
To support this, we utilize tools like the Ally plugin by Elementor, which helps identify and address accessibility issues during site development and maintenance.
Accessibility Features
Fake Portal incorporates several features to enhance accessibility:
- Keyboard Navigation: All interactive elements, such as forms, links, and buttons, are navigable using a keyboard.
- Screen Reader Compatibility: We use semantic HTML, ARIA landmarks, and alt text for images to ensure compatibility with screen readers like NVDA, JAWS, and VoiceOver.
- Color Contrast: Text and interactive elements meet or exceed WCAG contrast ratios for readability.
- Resizable Text: Users can adjust text size without loss of functionality.
- Form Accessibility: Our recommendation and update forms include clear labels, error messages, and focus indicators.
- Multimedia: Where applicable, videos include captions or transcripts, and we aim to provide descriptive alternatives for visual content.
Known Limitations
While we work diligently to maintain high accessibility standards, some areas may have limitations:
- Third-party content, such as embedded videos or external links (e.g., to crowdfunding platforms or game trailers), may not fully meet our standards, as we do not control them.
- User-generated content in submissions could occasionally introduce accessibility challenges, which we address upon review.
- Older legacy content may not yet be fully optimized; we are actively auditing and updating these.
If you encounter any barriers, please let us know so we can prioritize improvements.

Ongoing Efforts
Accessibility is an ongoing process. We regularly test our site using automated tools, manual audits, and user feedback. This policy will be reviewed annually or as needed, with updates posted here.
