Description

Moussacre is a fast-paced 2D platformer inspired by classic cartoons, with each animation being carefully drawn frame by frame. Run through levels at blistering speeds while slashing apart all who stand in your way.

This isn’t your normal, family-friendly cartoon mouse. Meet MouseTrap, the paint-thirsty killing machine who yearns to steal victims’ color. Prison was not nice to this poor soul. After being forced to star in cartoons for nearly a century, he completely overhauls his identity to break away from who he once was, eventually adopting his prison name, “MouseTrap.” This all leads to him executing his grand prison escape, finally being free from the clutches of his owners. Still dead set on filling his life with color, MouseTrap heads for the Prisma Fortress, a massive tower said to hold the ultimate source of color: the Prisma Diamond.

State of Development

As of writing this, I am almost done with Moussacre DEMO 4. Whether it’s out by this page being up or not is a mystery, but either way, this demo is gonna be double the size of the previous one! It’ll even have a whole seamless world to play with lots of new side missions!

I’m Nick Donnoli, a guy with a crippling addiction to making video games. As someone who’s played hundreds of games across every genre, I’m someone who has a deep fascination with the medium. From how they’re made to what makes them so fun, I love picking apart and analyzing them, which naturally drives me to create my own. All I can say is I love video games… deeply. Moussacre to me is so much more than just using a popular character in the public domain. It’s a vehicle for me to create something fresh and fun, but also to display all my skills and passion as a solo developer up to this point. There’s a free demo of the game on Steam! There’s no reason not to give it a try! You just might find a surprising new favorite… like many others have. ;)
