Turbo Overkill

This is FPS perfection; one of the best shooting experiences I’ve had in a video game. The weapons arsenal is incredibly powerful and varied; the movement/mobility is insane; the soundtrack is good and fitting; the vehicle sections were handled perfectly; the level design and art look pretty good, despite being low poly; the game is fairly lengthy (close to 20 hours for me); the story was decent, and the dialogue was genuinely funny at times.

This easily stands alongside other giants in the FPS genre of recent times, such as DOOM: Eternal and Dusk, and I can easily recommend it to any FPS fan… unless you’re the kind of person who thinks Call of Duty is peak FPS… for whatever idiotic reason…

My only complaint is the final fight against Syn. Not giving it a boss health bar, like all other bosses made it a bit confusing, as I thought I had to kill her infinitely spawning henchmen to proceed. Also, giving the boss insta-kill death lasers, in a fight where you’re unable to quick save is generally ♥♥♥♥-ish. Thankfully, this doesn’t take away from the rest of the game’s enjoyment factor.
